Description
Low-impedance adhesive paste for EEG & PSG for routine EEG and PSG
Lic2® electrode cream is a modern EEG adhesive and conductive paste that combines adhesion and conductivity in one step. Separate adhesives, tape, or gel pads are not required. The self-adhesive, water-based formula significantly reduces skin-electrode impedance, ensuring clear, stable signals throughout the entire measurement period.
In internen Vergleichsmessungen (34 PSG-Untersuchungen, N = 132) zeigte Lic2® einen statistisch signifikanten Impedanzvorteil (p < 0,05) gegenüber herkömmlichen EEG-Pasten. Die Elektroden bleiben zuverlässig fixiert bis zu 10 Stunden, auch bei Polysomnographien über Nacht und bei schwitzenden Patienten. Bewegungsartefakte und Elektrodenablösungen werden deutlich reduziert.
Lic2® is pH-neutral, latex-free, and water-soluble. After the examination, the cream can be easily washed off with water or mild shampoo—no acetone, no solvents, no pulling on hair. Lic2® thus offers a skin- and user-friendly alternative to collodion fixatives.
The electrode cream can be used universally with cup electrodes:
- Gold Cup electrodes, reusable
- Silver-silver chloride electrodes (Ag/AgCI), reusable
- Silver electrodes, reusable
- Disposable cup electrodes (Ag/AgCI)
It is suitable for routine EEG, sleep EEG (PSG), outpatient home sleep diagnostics (HST), and neurophysiological recordings in everyday clinical and practice settings. The hygienic 100 g tube filling for direct application supports a clean workflow and minimizes cross-contamination.
