Description
Silver/silver chloride (Ag/AgCl) cup electrodes for EEG and PSG
Reusable silver/silver chloride (Ag/AgCl) cup electrodes with highly flexible cable for EEG and PSG
The CNSAC silver/silver chloride (Ag/AgCl) cup electrode with a 200 cm cable is a reusable cup electrode for precise signal derivation in EEG and polysomnography (PSG) – ideal for applications with an extended range of motion.
The silver-plated sensor coated with silver chloride ensures stable signal quality with low skin-electrode impedance. The highly flexible, biocompatible TPU cable with Kevlar core ensures high tensile strength, durability, and particularly low-noise signal performance.
With a cable length of 200 cm, this version is particularly suitable for video EEG monitoring, long-term EEG, and sleep laboratory applications where greater distances between the patient and the amplifier are required.
The touch-protected 1.5 mm DIN plug (DIN 42802) enables a secure and standard-compliant connection to common EEG and PSG systems.
Technical specifications:
- Electrode type: Ag/AgCl cup electrode (reusable)
- Cup diameter: 10 mm Ø
- Cup height: 2.8 mm
- Cable length: 200 cm
- Cable insulation: Biocompatible TPU
- Core fiber: Kevlar

Recommended use:
For optimal signal quality, the skin should be treated with an abrasive preparation gel. The electrode is then filled with a suitable EEG adhesive paste and fixed to the prepared area.
Suitable for routine EEG, long-term EEG, video EEG monitoring, and sleep diagnostics.
Technical data sheet for "CNSAC silver/silver chloride cup electrodes"
Preparation of the skin and application of the silver-silver chloride (Ag/AgCl) cup electrodes
For a reliable measurement, first treat the patient's skin with an abrasive skin preparation gel such as Nuprep (article no.: CR-001) or OneStep® AbrasivPlus (article no.: CR-005). This process reduces the electrical resistance of the skin and thus ensures good signal quality.
Next, fill the Ag/AgCl cup electrode with an adhesive conductive paste such as lic2® electrode cream, 10 tubes x 100g or Ten20 (item no.: CR-008) and press the electrode firmly onto the prepared area. For better adhesion, a small amount of lic2® can be applied to a compress and placed over the electrode. If the electrode is placed on the face or forehead, it can also be fixed in place using Fixomull® stretch (article no.: DI-048).
Compatibility with various devices:
The electrodes are mechanically and electrically very sophisticated and are compatible with various devices, e.g:
- Compumedics
