EEG Caps

An EEG cap can help optimize EEG measurements especially when using the 10-20 system. In addition to the classic EEG range of caps from Schröter and Nihon Kohden, CNSAC also provides an EEG cap with integrated electrodes (EEG System Cap and Comby Cap).

Our EEG System Caps have a modern and child-friendly design, whereas the Comby Cap provides easy access to the electrodes for repositioning. The caps are available in different sizes and are suited for routine and long-term monitoring.

EEG Recording Caps

The EEG recording caps are equipped with integrated electrodes according to the 10-20 system and are available in different sizes. The caps offer a quick and easy measurement preparation and provide high-wearing comfort.

The EEG recording caps can be used for routine EEG, long-term EEG, sleep EEG and for research. They are many different kinds of EEG caps including Waveguard EEG caps, Easycap EEG caps and ECI caps (ElectroCap International).

Waveguard EEG caps are equipped with integrated high quality sintered (Ag/AgCl) electrodes (waveguard original) or tin electrodes (waveguard connect), which provide lower impedance and reliable conduction. The cap is made of durable material and offers high wearing comfort. The electrode shape is designed to prevent gel leakage, thus preventing cross-reaction between two adjacent electrodes.
Easycap EEG caps are used for EEG, Event-related potential (ERP) and Evoked potential (EP). The Easycap EEG caps are equipped with ring adapters, whereby the specially manufactured sintered electrodes can be pressed into adapters as required. In principle, an Easycap EEG cap consists of three parts:

  • Textile fabric cap
  • Electrode holder (adapter)
  • Single electrodes

The advantage of Easycap EEG caps is that the electrode holders are integrated in the cap. The electrodes, however, can be inserted in the desired position depending on the examination.

Other system caps are the ECI caps. The electrode position is designed according to 10-20 and the integrated electrodes are usually made of tin. Different adapter cables are available for various EEG devices.

EEG Comby caps

The electrode positions in Comby caps are defined according to the 10-20 system. Unlike ECI and Easycaps, the Comby caps have an open design. Because of this feature, the electrodes can be moved a little, if necessary, to obtain better impedances. The Comby EEG caps are available in six different sizes for both adults and children
